A day care employee has been arrested after sheriff's investigators say he inappropriately touched two 8-year-old boys left in his care, according to a report from The Herald.

Steven Matthew Gentry, 28, of York Highway in York, South Carolina, is charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Deputies were referred to an investigation by the state Department of Social Services on March 31, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The department had received complaints of an employee at a day care on Maxwell Mill Road engaging in "inappropriate touching" with two young boys at the day care.

Gentry turned himself in Wednesday at the Moss Justice Center and was booked for multiple third-degree CSC charges, The Herald reported.

The address listed on the incident report is listed as Smart Kids’ Child Development Center.
