Three people were arrested on federal drug charges Wednesday after GBI investigators found an “active clandestine methamphetamine lab” inside their home.

Jorge Menera, Daniel Duarte Landa and Dominguez Marcio Vazquez are each charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said in a statement. More charges are anticipated.

Authorities found the meth while executing a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of Williams Road in Dallas about 9:15 a.m., Miles said. Investigators stopped a car as it was leaving the property, she said. A foot chased ensued, and Menera, Landa and Vazquez were arrested.

Miles said investigators found 40 kilograms of meth inside the vehicle. When they searched the home, they found the entire lab, more than 56 kilograms of meth and 140 kilograms of unfinished meth, Miles said.

The case is still under investigation by the Haralson Paulding Drug Task Force, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the GBI.
