An 18-year-old woman accused of leading several law enforcement agencies on a chase through Fulton and Clayton counties Tuesday has also been tied to a DeKalb County homicide, authorities said.
Brandisha Williams of Atlanta was spotted by officers in a stolen vehicle about 6:40 p.m. near Cleveland Avenue and Old Hapeville Road, Atlanta police told AJC.com. Officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, but she allegedly fled on I-75 South.
The Georgia State Patrol and Atlanta police’s helicopter unit assisted in the chase, police said. The stolen vehicle continued into Clayton County, where police officers and deputies joined in on the pursuit.
Williams eventually abandoned the car near Tara Boulevard and Battle Creek Road and ran away, according to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office. Jonesboro police assisted with the chase.
The incident ended with her arrest. Williams faces 11 charges stemming from the incident, but DeKalb police plan to bring an even bigger charge against her: murder.
She’s accused of setting up a man for a robbery in DeKalb that ended with him being shot and killed at Gulf America Inn at 3700 Flat Shoals Road last month, DeKalb police confirmed.
On June 3 about 1:30 a.m., police found Antonio Neville critically injured at the motel with several gunshot wounds, AJC.com previously reported. He later died at a hospital.

A second suspect, who has not been identified, is still wanted in the deadly shooting, police said.
In connection with the police chase, Williams’ 11 charges include felony theft, fleeing police, reckless conduct and several traffic violations. Aside from one count of murder, it’s unclear what other charges she may face in DeKalb once she’s extradited.
She remains in the Clayton County jail without bond, jail records show.
