A Paulding County man remained jailed without bond Monday following his arrest on child molestation charges, the county’s sheriff’s office said.

Dakota James McNeil, 23, is accused of molesting two juvenile girls over a period of several years, Cpl. Ashley Henson with the Paulding Sheriff’s Office said.

McNeil, of a Dallas address, was arrested Thursday following an investigation that began Sept. 11, Henson said. Deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of sexual abuse and learned that McNeil allegedly molested two juvenile females on separate occasions, Henson said.

“As a result of the subsequent investigation, it was learned that one of the victims was molested from the age of 5 to 13,” Henson said in a emailed statement.

McNeil was charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of aggravated sodomy, all felonies. He was booked into Paulding County jail.

Investigators believe McNeil could have molested other victims, Henson said. Anyone with information about similar crimes is asked to call the sheriff’s office Crimes Against Children unit at 770-445-6105.
