Two men set three fires inside a Wal-Mart before leaving with a shopping cart full of stolen goods, East Point police said.

But a distinctive car — a lime green, four-door Buick sedan — could lead to their arrests.

East Point police said the men entered the store on the 800 block of Cleveland Avenue about 8 p.m. Tuesday and set greeting cards, toilet tissue and paper towels on fire, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“They spent about an hour and a half inside the store selecting merchandise and put everything inside suitcases,” Det. Ebony Johnson told Channel 2.

Johnson told the news station that once people were running to the fire, the men ran out of the store with a cart carrying the two suitcases. Police believe the fires were set to cause a distraction.

The men were seen on camera placing the stolen goods in the lime green car.

The fires caused more than $300,000 in damage to the store, Channel 2 reported. By mid-afternoon Wednesday, food in the store wasn’t deemed safe.

One of the men was wearing a red shirt, a black hoodie and light-colored denim shorts. The second suspect had on a dark-colored jacket and shirt and gray jogging pants.

The car had a missing hubcap on the front passenger tire.
