Three man are in jail after authorities said they led Forsyth County deputies on a chase in a stolen SUV that ended in a crash.

Donell Johnson, 32, Phillip Matthews, 32, and Jarvis Scott, 32, are each facing multiple charges following the chase.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a detective in Sandy Springs with information about a stolen white Chevrolet Suburban about 7: 15 p.m. Tuesday. The detective told investigators the vehicle was in Forsyth County, and deputies tracked it on Ronald Reagan Boulevard at Samples Industrial Boulevard, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies said when they found it, three men were inside.

When the men saw the deputies, the driver took off down the road in the Suburban, authorities said. A chase started as the Forsyth deputies took off after the stolen SUV.

The Suburban crashed near Peachtree Parkway, authorities said.

Matthews and Scott were arrested at the scene, but authorities said Johnson, who allegedly drove the vehicle, ran away. Deputies caught up with him and shocked him with a Taser.

The three men were booked into the Forsyth County Jail. Matthews and Scott are charged with theft by receiving and entering auto.

Johnson is facing 15 charges, including theft by receiving, entering auto, possession of marijuana, fleeing or attempting to elude, obstruction, reckless driving, failure to obey traffic signal, improper lane change, too fast conditions, failure to maintain lane, driving with a suspended license, littering, giving wrong signal, failure to report striking a fixed object and attempting to alter identification of a vehicle.
