A livestock owner is facing 80 counts of neglect and cruelty to animals after four of his cows were found dead, officials said.

Timothy King of Fairburn was cited because not only were four cows in his care dead, but at least two of the carcasses contaminated the water supply for the remaining cows, according to Channel 2 Action News.

King denied the allegations, saying he doesn’t even have 40 cows on the property.

“The cows are just as healthy as they can be,” King said.

King would have 40 cows if the dead were included among the living, Channel 2 reported.

Fulton County Animal Services cited King with 40 counts of animal cruelty and 40 counts of animal neglect.
