Police are searching for a man who stole a woman's 1998 Ford Mustang from her at gunpoint -- and then left it in a Wendy's parking lot, possibly because he could not drive a stick-shift car, KIRO-TV reported.
The woman had just pulled into a Wendy’s restaurant parking lot when the man approached her and asked for directions.
At that point, he opened her car door and forced her to get out, at gun-point, police said.
Investigators said the woman was pulled out of the car by the suspect and fell to the ground, then got up, ran into the restaurant and called 911.
Responding officers said it appeared the carjacker could not drive stick -- because when they arrived, the Mustang with its manual transmission was still in the same Wendy’s parking lot.
The suspect fled the scene.
