A Brookhaven man was found shot in the driveway of his home Wednesday afternoon, police said.
About 3:15 p.m., officers were alerted to the incident on Clairmont Way, spokesman Carlos Nino said. The victim had been shot in the upper body. Officers rendered aid, and the victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
The victim may have interrupted a burglary, according to a preliminary investigation. He was able to leave the house and flag down a passing car for help.
Investigators searched the area for more than four hours, Nino said.
Police are seeking a man who is bald, about 6 foot and weighing about 200 pounds in connection with the shooting, Nino said.
