A man wanted in connection with the shooting death of his stepfather in Gwinnett County on Easter has been arrested, police said Wednesday.

Sean Edwards-Tuggle was arrested by the Metro North Transit Authority in New York about midnight Tuesday, Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

Authorities had been looking for him since 4:16 p.m. Sunday, when they were dispatched to the home of Christopher Grier in the 4300 block of Grove Lake Street in unincorporated Loganville. They learned Edwards-Tuggle shot Grier following an argument inside the home, according to a statement from police.

Grier, 44, was dead when police arrived, Cpl. Matthew Williamson said in the statement. Edwards-Tuggle, 26, had taken off in a silver 2010 Dodge Avenger with Georgia tag RGJ9108, according to police.

Authorities in New Jersey suspected Edwards-Tuggle might be in Passaic County or near New York City, according to a report in the New Jersey Herald.

Details about his capture have not been released.

It is not clear when he will be extradited to Gwinnett County, where he faces charges of felony murder and aggravated assault.
