Authorities in New Jersey have captured a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at a Texaco gas station in Cobb County, the sheriff’s office said.

Joseph Priester, 36, is suspected in the death of Genaro Rojas Martinez of Smyrna. Details about Priester’s arrest were not released.

Martinez, 39, was seen May 15 walking out of the store on South Cobb Drive and heading toward the fuel pumps when the suspect allegedly shot him, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

Surveillance video showed the man later identified as Priester as he got out of a dark green Chevrolet Avalanche just before 11 p.m.

Priester, who was wanted on a parole violation, is accused of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is also suspected in an aggravated assault that happened in Thomaston on April 14, police said.
