Atlanta police have a woman in custody and are searching for a man after a shot was fired on fire station property Wednesday morning, a police spokesman said.
Brianna Partridge, 20, was charged with three counts of illegally entering an automobile and two counts of theft by taking in the incident, Atlanta police Officer Donald Hannah said Thursday.
She also was charged with aggravated assault, prowling and possession of a tool of a crime.
The shooting happened after the people broke into two firefighters’ personal vehicles at Atlanta Fire Rescue station No. 10 in the 400 block of Boulevard, police spokesman Carlos Campos said.

A firefighter got out of his car and approached the people, who ran from the scene, Campos said. The man who was with the woman fired into the air.
Police were called at that point, Campos said. No injuries were reported.
A gun was stolen from one of the cars that was broken into, but police are not sure if it was the gun that was fired. The gun has not been recovered.
“We are grateful that no one was injured,” Campos said. “It had the potential to be a volatile situation.
