7 shot at Georgia nightclub after gang dispute, GBI says
Seven people were shot early Saturday at a nightclub in the South Georgia town of Ashburn, according to the GBI.
About 150 to 200 people were at Studio 2.0 for the nightclub’s advertised “County vs. County” gathering when an argument between rival gang members escalated just before 2:30 a.m. and shots were fired, the agency said.
Two people were flown to a hospital in Macon and the others were taken to Tift Regional Hospital in Tifton. The conditions of the injured were not known Monday morning.
Club promoter, Tio Davis, 36, was arrested and charged with providing alcohol to people under 21, the GBI told Channel 2 Action News.
