Game wardens are searching for a missing man after rescuing two other people from Lake Lanier on Friday evening.

About 6:15 p.m., the Georgia Department of Natural Resources received a call reporting a possible drowning off the shore near Van Tavern Park, department spokesman Mark McKinnon said. Game wardens are using sonar to search the area.

The search is ongoing, and it’s unclear if or when the search will be called off for the night, McKinnon said. He said if the search is called off, it will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday.
