A teenager is in police custody, his father is wanted and a person of interest is asked to turn himself in after the shooting death of a laundromat manager in DeKalb County, police said.
Kevin Ward Clark Jr., 20, was arrested without incident Tuesday at his residence after police got a tip identifying him, DeKalb police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said. He is charged with felony murder.
He was initially detained on a probation violation warrant, but a subsequent interview led to him being a suspect in the shooting, according to Cynthia Williams of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
The DeKalb gaming unit, DeKalb sheriff’s fugitive unit and the U.S. Marshals office made the arrest.
Police are searching for the father, Kevin Clark Sr., 38, and another man authorities haven’t identified. It’s unclear how the third person is related to the shooting, which was an attempted robbery, Campbell said.
Police got a call of a person shot about midnight April 28 at Spin Cycle Coin Laundry in the 3500 block of Memorial Drive. When they got to the laundromat in Belvedere Plaza, officers found Carlos Clay Lemons with multiple gunshot wounds in front of the business, a DeKalb police spokesman said at the time.

Detectives said Lemons, 25, of Decatur, was shot after he approached three men who were loitering outside the business. Surveillance video showed a person running from the scene with a gun after the shooting, Williams said.
