A busy Marietta street has reopened Thursday morning after a gas leak was repaired.

The road was shut down just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday between South Marietta Parkway and Old Clay Street and remained closed overnight. Authorities repaired the leak and reopened the road by 5:45 a.m. Thursday, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

Alternate routes are no longer needed.

Authorities have not said what caused the gas leak, but Channel 2 Action News reported that a construction crew was working in the area. No one was reported injured.
