Child rushed to hospital after being shot in back

A 6-year-old girl was shot in the neck Sunday morning on Stafford Street in Atlanta, police said.

The child was alert and breathing on the way to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police said the shooting happened about 9 a.m., but could not immediately release additional information.
