A Boy Scout camping trip volunteer has been arrested in Florida on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation and simple battery on two victims.

Court records say 75-year-old Stinson Lenkerd was volunteering as aquatics director for the Boy Scout camping trip at Camp Echockotee in Orange Park Sept. 16-18. Lenkerd is accused of slapping two boys on the buttocks on multiple occasions, including when they were playing on hammocks. Records say one of the victims reported Lenkerd’s finger touched his buttocks under his clothes during one of the slaps.

Investigators say they found eight photos on Lenkerd’s phone from the camping trip. Four were of the scouts, including one of the victims in the hammock. Two of the photos were just of one of the victims in the hammock, according to the records.

The ages of the victims, as well as what Lenkerd said to investigators, has been redacted from the report.

He’s been charged with a felony count of lewd and lascivious molestation and a misdemeanor count of simple battery. Clay deputies say Lenkerd was arrested in St. Johns County, where he lives, and transported to the Clay County Jail.
