Body found in ditch near Clayton County road

A body was found early Sunday in a ditch near Tara Boulevard and Southside Commercial Parkway, police said.

The man, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, is believed to have been a pedestrian struck by a car, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The driver remained on the scene and police have not said if charges are expected.
