A man fired birdshot into another man’s face in an incident that landed both men in jail, authorities said.
Hall County deputies responded to a shooting shortly after 6 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of East Ridge Road in Gainesville, Lt. Scott Ware said.
Charles Doro, 39, of Gainesville, “was believed to have fired a shotgun across the roadway and struck Darryl Hudson, 31, also of Gainesville, with a small amount of birdshot in the face,” Ware said.
Hudson had very minor injuries, Ware said. He was treated and released from Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville and then taken into custody on two outstanding warrants.
One warrant was a Superior Court arrest order issued April 23 on two counts of aggravated assault and obstructing an officer. The other was for “being surrendered by his bondsman on a drug case in 2017,” Ware said.
Doro was charged with aggravated assault, misdemeanor reckless conduct and violating parole, according to Ware. It’s not clear why Doro fired at Hudson.
Both men were arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County jail.
