Authorities have identified the body of the man found Friday in the home of an 89-year-old fatal stabbing victim in northwest Atlanta.

The body of Gregory O. Ramsey II, 26, of Riverdale, was found in the residence in the 2500 block of Baker Road, the Fulton County Medical Examiner said Sunday. He died of apparent stab wounds, said Atlanta Police spokeswoman Kim Jones.

The body of Sallie Stokes also was found in her house, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. Stokes’ son found her body in the dining room. A trail of blood led to the bathroom, where the other body was found.

Stokes’ son thinks his mother fought her attacker and stabbed him before he stabbed her.

Atlanta police had no further updates Sunday. They earlier told Channel 2 Action News that there were no signs of forced entry.

“We do not believe we are looking for any additional persons at this time,” police said Friday.

Stokes was an educator in the Collier Heights neighborhood, Channel 2 reported. She had lived in the Baker Road house since the mid-1950s.
