Atlanta police: Suspect fired shots at fire station while firefighters slept

It happened at Fire Station 25 in Southwest Atlanta.

Atlanta police are searching for a suspect who shot up a fire station early Monday morning as firefighters slept.

Bullets flew through fire station 25 on Benjamin E. Mays Drive, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Eight firefighters were inside the station at the time of the shooting, but were not hurt in the gunfire.

The shooting is just the latest in the neighborhood.

According to Channel 2, someone fired shots near the station about 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police have not said if the shootings are related.
