A traffic stop on I-75 led to tens of thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine, marijuana and heroin being seized and three people being arrested, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Richard Cooper of Knoxville, Tenn., Carl Arnold of Atlanta and Shaunna Jones of Maynardville, Tenn., are accused of transporting the drugs from Atlanta to Tennessee early Wednesday morning, Marietta police told Channel 2.

The meth was the size of a brick, which police said was worth five figures alone, the news station reported.

Cooper was the driver, and Arnold and Jones were passengers, Channel 2 reported. Officers said the odor of marijuana was so strong that they told all three to get out of the car.

Arnold is accused of trying to run away with the bag of meth before being arrested in a culvert near I-75, the news station reported.

The arrest warrant, obtained by Channel 2, said, “The zip-lock bag broke open, and its contents spilled onto Arnold’s arms and legs.”

Cooper and Arnold face three felony drug trafficking charges, Cobb County jail records show. Arnold also faces a charge of obstructing an officer, and Cooper faces a count of obscuring a license plate.

Jones faces one felony charge of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, jail records show.

Cooper and Arnold remain in the Cobb County jail without bond. Jones remains in jail on a $2,000 bond.
