Andrea Sneiderman pleads not guilty to charges she killed husband
Andrea Sneiderman pleaded not guilty Monday to charges she conspired to kill her husband, gunned down nearly two years ago outside a Dunwoody daycare facility.
The widow’s arraignment took place more than two months after she was charged with racketeering, malice murder, criminal attempt to commit murder, insurance fraud, making false statements and perjury.
Her former boss, Hemy Neuman, acknowledged fatally shooting Rusty Sneiderman in the parking lot of Dunwoody Prep in November 2010. He was found guilty but mentally ill in March and sentenced to life in prison.
DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James said he expects Sneiderman’s trial to last about as long as Neuman’s — roughly a month. DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gregory A. Adams on Monday gave Sneiderman’s lawyers until Dec. 7 to file its motions, which could push the start of the trial to sometime in the Spring.
Andrea Sneiderman, released on bond and placed under house arrest at her parents’ home, has denied any involvement in her husband’s death.
Prosecutors and the defense are under a court-ordered gag rule and had no comment Monday.
