8 accused of selling drug-laced candy to children
A man accused of running a drug operation out of his Conyers home was arrested following allegations he and seven others sold drugs to children, Channel 2 Action News reported Thursday.
Authorities seized fruit juice and several bags filled with cereal treats containing THC from Damien Grant-Thompson’s Saint James Drive apartment, according to Channel 2. THC is the active ingredient in marijuana. Grant-Thompson faces drug and weapons charges.

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office told Channel 2 it believes Grant-Thompson and seven others sold the treats to children. The identities of the other suspects were not released, but police charged them with cocaine and methamphetamine possession.
Two were also wanted in New York on charges of kidnapping and armed robbery, Channel 2 reported.
