A second man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a DeKalb County apartment complex, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities arrested 20-year-old Vincent Jamal Smith on Saturday on one count of murder and armed robbery, the DeKalb sheriff said in a statement.
Smith’s charges stem from the death of Charles Alexander Lewis, who was fatally shot during a robbery at the Wesley Club Apartments on Jan. 28, AJC.com previously reported.

Officers responded to the apartment complex about 10:30 a.m. and found 31-year-old Lewis with a gunshot wound to the leg, authorities said. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Antonio Lee, 18, was previously arrested in Lewis’ death.
It’s unclear if Lee and Smith knew Lewis, but investigators previously said the fatal shooting appeared to be “the result of risky behavior.”
Smith was arrested after investigators found him driving a stolen car on Columbia Drive, the sheriff’s office said. During a police chase, Smith allegedly crashed into another vehicle and “caused minor damage to sheriff’s vehicles involved in the pursuit.”
Smith was taken to the DeKalb jail, where he remains with no bond.
