A Texas-based convenience store chain known for its clean bathrooms and friendly service will break ground in Georgia next week.
Buc-ee's, which was recently named the gas station chain with the cleanest restrooms in the country, will break ground on a 53,000-square-foot travel center in Warner Robins on Nov. 18, according to a news release. The gas and travel center will open in 2021 at the southeast corner of Interstate 75 and Russell Parkway, according to a Buc-ee's media release.
The travel center will feature 116 fueling stations, thousands of snacks for locals and travelers, and will be open around the clock. As with all its locations, the Georgia store will offer a taste of Texas in honor of the brand’s home state. The Warner Robins spot will sell Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, Beaver nuggets and fresh pastries.
Buc-ee’s leadership team chose the military town due to it being home to Robins Air Force Base and its location between Atlanta and Florida, according to spokesman Jeff Nadalo.
"We're excited to break ground in Warner Robins and provide people with a world-class option for their travel needs along the highway,” Nadalo said. “Warner Robins is one of the fastest-growing cities in Georgia, and we are hoping to support the military community at nearby Robins Air Force Base by providing quality jobs with great pay, full benefits, 401k, and three weeks vacation.”
