A DeKalb County jury convicted a woman of malice murder late Friday in the shooting death of her ex-boyfriend.

Victoria Rickman claimed her ex-boyfriend was raping her when she grabbed a gun from a nightstand table and shot him dead. But prosecutors instead said it was cold-blooded murder, and the jury agreed.

After a two-week trial, the jury got the case late Friday afternoon and reached a verdict shortly before 7 p.m. Sentencing will be held at a later date.
