The DeKalb County city will not close its municipal courthouse.

Chamblee Municipal Court, located at 3518 Broad Street, has closed twice since last June as the result of a positive COVID-19 test. The city reaffirmed that its municipal court adheres to the statewide judicial emergency order and its guidelines.

All court attendees are required to wear masks, maintain a six-foot distance at all times and take a temperature check upon entry. Only 25 attendees are permitted in the building at one time. Plexiglas partitions were also installed at the judges’ benches in addition to the work space areas for the solicitor and public defenders.
