The U.S. State Department will reportedly announce its most severe travel warning, which would ban all international travel.

The department, according to Politico, will issue a level four travel advisory applying to all international travel.

The advisory would require all Americans abroad to either return to the United States or prepare to shelter in place where they are, given the global threat of the coronavirus outbreak. Under the advisory, Americans would be instructed not to travel abroad.

President Donald Trump earlier this month banned travel for foreign nationals who have traveled to China, Iran, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK or Ireland 14 days before their arrival.

Previously, U.S. citizens or permanent residents who had visited a high-risk area must fly into one of the 13 international airports with enhanced entry screening capabilities.
