Authorities have reopened a road near DeKalb-Peachtree Airport after a house fire Wednesday morning.

Dresden Drive was closed for hours between Archway Drive and Carlton Place while fire crews and investigators were on scene. The road reopened about 10:30 a.m., according to Brookhaven police.

Footage from NewsChopper 2 showed large flames shooting from a home on Dresden Drive near Skyland Drive.

Crews were able to get the fire under control later

DeKalb County fire crews arriving about 8 a.m. found heavy smoke and flames at the rear of the home. Two people had already escaped by the time they arrived, fire spokesman Capt. Dion Bentley told AJC.com.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was extinguished quickly, Bentley said. A fire investigator is looking into the cause of the blaze.
