Authorities say an Oklahoma City man took disciplining his son way too far.

Kenneth Tyner, 33, was arrested for beating his 11-year-old son with an extension cord after the boy was suspended from school over a knife incident, according to a report on KOCO 5 News.

The child’s mother reported the beating to authorities after Tyner threatened her. “I don’t even whip my kids,” she told KOCO.

She said her son was suspended from his elementary school after holding a knife that another kid had brought to school.

According to an affidavit obtained by KOCO, when Tyner found out about the suspension, he went into the child’s room, locked the door, and beat him for 30 minutes. He only stopped when the child urinated on himself. He then threatened the mother and told her not to question how he disciplines his son.
