A Hart County man is wanted on a charge of arson in the first degree after a mobile home burned in Royston, authorities said.

A warrant was issued for James Colby Chastain’s arrest on Tuesday, according to a statement from state Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John King. Chastain, 25, was last seen fleeing from law enforcement in the Vanna area, King said.

The July 1 fire in the 600 block on Findley Road caused major damage to the 25-year-old, double-wide mobile home, which was unoccupied at the time. Authorities believe the fire began in the back left side of the 1,200-square-foot structure.

The fire destroyed the back left side of a double-wide mobile home in Royston.
