The drizzle that showered Atlanta Sunday morning is likely to taper off in the afternoon and evening around the city, according to weather forecasts.

But patchy rain will continue over Georgia. And even if it spares Atlanta, the metro area is in for a long gray day on Monday.

Make that a gray, cloudy week, according to Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz.

Throughout the first half of the week the Atlanta area is in for clouds and some chance of rain, according to Nitz.

On Wednesday the chance of a storm goes up to 90 percent.

The good news: Night and day, temperatures are predicted to remain well above freezing.
