UPDATE: Service resumes at MARTA’s Medical Center station after sewage leak

Service is back to normal at MARTA’s Medical Center station Friday morning after a sewage leak from a nearby apartment complex caused delays for 15 hours, according to the transit authority.
The northbound platform was closed at 3 p.m. and southbound trains were being single-tracked while officials worked to cleanup the mess at the station on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road in Sandy Springs. Regular service resumed just before 5:30 a.m. Friday, officials said.
Update: Single tracking terminated at Med Center. Normal operations resuming on the NB platform.

The leak was capped quickly Thursday, MARTA spokeswoman Stephany Fisher said, but cleanup lasted through the night.
Single tracking continues at Med Ctr for the remainder of the day; all trains are boarding on the SB platform only.
