Seven Lithonia High School students were injured in a school bus crash in DeKalb County on Thursday afternoon, school officials said.

The incident happened just before 3:50 p.m. near the intersection of South Deshon Road and Windy Ridge Way, DeKalb fire Capt. Dion Bentley told AJC.com.

The DeKalb County School District said three students were taken by ambulance to a hospital, while four other students were taken to a hospital by their parents. Their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Bentley said at least one other vehicle was involved. No other information was released.

DeKalb police will investigate the crash.
