One person was killed Tuesday morning after a crash that blocked a major interstate in Clayton County.

The crash happened on the ramp from I-285 East to I-75 South shortly before 7 a.m., officials said. Clayton County police confirmed the death to AJC.com.

Authorities have not said what led to the wreck. A car, an SUV and a tractor-trailer were involved, according to photos from an Atlanta Journal-Constitution photographer at the scene.

Others hurt in the crash had minor injuries, Clayton police spokeswoman Officer Aubriel Stroud said. Police have not specified how many people were injured.

All eastbound lanes of I-285 were closed while police investigated. All lanes reopened about noon.
