Authorities investigating body found at Fort Stewart
Authorities are investigating a body found Monday near a wooded area at Fort Stewart.
Military officials confirmed to Savannah's ABC affiliate WJCL the body was discovered about 5 p.m. Monday in the Liberty Woods area.
The deceased individual is not a soldier, family member of a soldier or a base employee, Fort Stewart public information officer Kevin Larson told the station.
Authorities offered no further details about the case.
