An armed robbery failed after police say a woman slammed her door on four thieves at a hotel in Covington, authorities said.

Four men knocked on a woman’s unit at the Days Inn on Alcovy Road on Oct. 28, Covington police wrote in a Facebook post. The woman opened her door only to immediately shut it when one of the men pointed a gun at her face, police said.

The men ran from the scene and nothing was taken from the woman, authorities confirmed. Police released surveillance photos of the men as they continue to search for them.

No other information was released.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 678-625-5562.
