For those who want to get their act together, Fulton County is hosting a virtual septic system maintenance workshop this week.

Not all parts of the county are serviced by public sanitary sewer systems. Attendees can expect to learn not only the basics of a septic system but also what should (and shouldn’t) be discarded down the drain and when it’s time to call a professional.

The free seminar runs from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Those interested can register online or by emailing Kelli L. Edwards at Kelli.Edwards@fultoncountyga.gov.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Fulton County Board of Health’s role in well and septic inspection, visit the agency’s website.

Rockdale County says it is running out of room to hold the growing waste.
