It’ll be another cool day in metro Atlanta.
“Breezy and comfortable weather in the forecast for your Wednesday afternoon,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.
With a high of 83 degrees in the city, that is below average for this time of year. Typically, the region sees highs around 87 degrees in early September.
There is no rain forecast for Wednesday, but some clouds will filter in from the west late today and tonight. More clouds pile in on Thursday, and there is a small chance — just 20% — of a scattered shower. Most of the metro area will stay dry, though.
More clouds will arrive on Friday, bumping up the chance of rain to 60%. Most of the rain will fall on the southside, Monahan said.
Temps take a dip, too, with a projected high of just 76 degrees.
It’ll feel “kind of like an early fall day” by Friday, Monahan said.
By the weekend, the skies should start to clear. Saturday still has a 30% chance of showers, but by Sunday, we should be under mostly sunny skies with no rain in sight. The high then will reach about 81 degrees.
