First Uber offered discounted uberPOOL rides to MARTA stations during the current I-85 bridge collapse crisis.
Now Lyft is following suit.
The ride-sharing service said Monday it's offering 50 percent off on Lyft Line rides to or from MARTA locations in the city this week during commute hours ( 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) The deal runs Monday, April 10 through Friday, April 14 and is not valid for the MARTA station at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Lyft Line passengers can claim the deals by entering code EMXPATLWDMARTA17 in the promo section of the Lyft app.
(Note: Just one stop before the airport, the College Park MARTA station is a very popular passenger stop on Lyft, which named it one of its six "hottest" destinations in 2016).
The Lyft discount matches the 50 percent price slash Uber initially made good for last week on its uberPOOL rides to or from MARTA stations -- then eventually extended for the entire month of April (the uberPOOL discount hours are 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays).
Like uberPOOL, Lyft Line lets passengers who are traveling a similar route share the ride and cut their costs. With MARTA parking at a premium while a critical section of I-85 remains closed for repairs, passengers are being encouraged to carpool to or get dropped off at stations.

Meanwhile, Lyft says Atlantans should “stay tuned” for future deals as repairs continue on I-85.
