Annette Alexander has been named the 2020 HCS Educational Support Personnel of the Year (ESPY) for Henry County Schools. She is an interrelated paraprofessional at McDonough Middle School, where she started several years ago as a substitute.

The award was presented Nov. 10 at a ceremony in which 61 ESPY honorees from all of the district’s schools and administrative departments. Other finalists along with Alexander were Premlata Miller of New Hope Elementary School (who was named Counselor of the Year) and Nathalie Sealock of Union Grove High School. This is the first time the district has given a single overall award for top support personnel.
