The Locust Grove City Council voted at its Oct. 9 regular meeting to approve the annexation of about 6.29 acres on Hwy. 42 and Canup Road into the city. Also approved regarding that piece of property was a city zoning of M-1 (light manufacturing), the same zoning classification previously held in unincorporated Henry County.

In unrelated business, the council approved an ordinance to adopt a moratorium on submission, acceptance, or action on applications for conditional use or development of truck parking facilities in the city for a period of 365 days. This vote came after a conditional use request to allow gravel-surfaced truck/tractor-trailer parking on Walker Crossing was tabled.

A vote on a resolution to approve amended design and construction plans for the Peeksville Road extension was postponed.
