Henry County officials have announced that the entire intersection of Mill Road and Mount Carmel Road will be closed for about three weeks. According to a statement posted on the county’s official Facebook page, the intersection will be closed as of Oct. 12 and the closure is expected to last until early November “pending good weather and no unforeseen issues occurring that may delay work progress.” The reason for the move is the ongoing construction of a roundabout at that intersection. Possible detour routes during this time include Jonesboro Road, Chambers Road, Hwy. 81 and Willow Lane. Information: henrycounty-ga.com.
