Bonnie Phelps Tree Walk. 9:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 23 (rain or shine). Gazebo at Lake Avondale, 59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates. Following a memorial ceremony for Phelps, the Avondale Estates Garden Club will present their fifth Tree Walk. Arborist and Avondale Estates resident Steve Sanchez will talk briefly. A long-time member of the club, Phelps was instrumental in organizing the first Tree Walk in 2013. Then participants can choose from six routes led by certified arborists.
