Kennesaw city officials gave an update on Sept. 5 on the city’s new Recreation Center at Adams Park, 2753 Watts Drive.

Crews recently completed installation of exterior siding, and basketball equipment was delivered.

Interior painting, restroom tilework and fine grading currently are underway.

Next steps include applying brick veneer to exterior walls, landscaping, concrete work and internal finishings.

Upon completion, the 42,000-square-foot Recreation Center will feature three basketball courts, a fitness room, a gymnastics center, two meeting rooms and office space.

Construction is estimated to be completed by January 2022.
