Daily life has changed in so many ways. The information we need to keep our families safe. The places we can shop, the people we can see and the things we can do. While so much has changed — at least temporarily — one thing remains the same: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s commitment of working on your behalf to keep you informed with credible and in-depth local information, to share positive news and to even entertain you.
It is with that in mind that we prepared this special edition of “Aging in Atlanta.” Although we are required to be “socially distant” from each other, we know staying “emotionally connected” is more important than ever before. We hope this will be a timely and relevant guide to help you make the most of your time at home and provide some valuable information to help you stay connected with those you love.
We also hope you will connect with us. On April 29 at
4 p.m., our editor Kevin Riley will host a special “home edition” of our “Aging in Atlanta” event series, made possible by support from our sponsors. You’ll be able to connect with physicians from Wellstar Health System, a Kroger pharmacist and Wes Moss. Since we are unable to host an event in the community, we will do this as a live broadcast you can watch on your computer.
If you would like to register and receive instructions on how to participate in our “virtual” discussion, please contact John Levinson at jlevinson@ajc.com or call him at 404-526-5044. We hope the daily delivery and familiar routine of reading your daily newspaper is also a welcome part of your day – especially now. We believe keeping you and other members of our community informed – and entertained – provides an essential public service, and we are honored to work on your behalf.
Thank you for your support.
