Cookies are a near-perfect treat. You can make them plain, or mix the batter with chocolate, raisins, nuts, peanut butter, oats, cinnamon or dozens of other ingredients to create a sweet concoction you can eat with your hands.

But when your cookie craving is too strong to wait for them to bake, where do you go to satisfy your sweet tooth?

This week’s Best of Atlanta poll asks: Who has the best cookies in Atlanta?

If you're a chocolate chip fan, have you tried the Georgia cookie that made the list of best chocolate chip cookies in the U.S.?

But even if you prefer to make one of the best cookies to eat, we'd like you to vote.

If your favorite cookie spot isn't on here, you can submit a write-in nominee by emailing your pick to nancy.clanton@ajc.com.

If enough people suggest your favorite spot, we'll add it to our poll. It worked for Red Phone Booth, which was just voted the best late-night spot in the metro area.

If you’re the type to eat dinner before you have a cookie, we have some suggestions to get a good meal.

» Best Chinese food
