Melanie Kelman has filled her contemporary condo with an assortment of family furniture, gifts from family members and new purchases to create an eclectic residence in Sandy Springs.
“I love that I have a variety of furniture, from a hand-me-down leather chair and ottoman, a bookcase from Ikea, to a Lexington sectional sofa,” she said.
Those pieces join a signed print by musician Sarah McLachlan that was a gift from her sister, custom-made window treatments, and furniture and accessories chosen by Kelman’s mother, Bobbi Kelman, owner of Precious Cargo, a baby, kids and teen furniture and accessories store in Smyrna.
“She helped me pick furniture, fabrics, paintings, chairs, rugs and, of course, the good taste helped to bring it all together,” Melanie said.

Outdoor feature: The Serrano condo complex has a beautiful pool area with a grill, outdoor fireplace and plenty of comfy seating, Melanie said. "My neighbors and I spent a lot of time out there cooking out during the summer," she said.
